PASTOR ARNOLD BISHOP

The Lord had a specific calling for Rev. Arnold Burns Bishop.  In his younger years, he was a truck driver in Toronto, Ontario.  He was searching for something more for his life.  He threw away is cigarettes and gave his heart to the Lord.  He was then directed by the Lord to move to the Barrie area in the 1950’s.  From there, he met Rev. and Sister Graham.  Because they were unable to have children of their own, they took Arnold in under their wing and adopted him as their son.  He cared very deeply for them like his own parents as he was not very close to his own family.

Like many others in the church, Rev. Bishop had great teachers when it came to the bible.  Over the years of being with the Graham’s and at the Full Gospel Lighthouse, Arnold received his license as a minister and became the Assistant Pastor.  Then, on November 27, 1993, Arnold was ordained through Emmanuel Fellowship.

Arnold was the type of person that loved everyone.  He would do anything to help people in any way he could.  One of those kindnesses of love that he showed was with the Graham’s.  In his younger years when he first met the Graham’s, he promised the Lord to take care of them while they were in their Sunset years.  That he did.  Arnold never got married.

Arnold passed away 6 weeks after Sister Graham died, when his promise to the Lord for looking after them in their sunset years had been fulfilled.
